Awards & Accolades
Jan Tucker became the first person who was not an
incumbent member of the California Legislature to
win CALI's Legislative excellence award.  Rumor
has it that it had something to do with his purported
role in securing a veto of SB 208 by then-Governor
Gray Davis even though the bill had cleared the
legislature with only one dissenting vote...but this
rumor remains uncomfirmed.
