    Venice Blvd. Venice, CA 90291).  Conjunto Jardin is my favorite band.  They play Jarocho music, the style of
    Veracruz, Mexico.  The band is named for Libby and Cynthia Harding, the daughters of political scientist and
    ethno-musicologist Tim Harding.

    author of "Occupied America: A History of Chicanos" and Michael Powelson, CSUN Professor. This
    discussion will deal with the topic of Mexico’s historical loss of its own territory, which includes Texas, to the
    United States. Aspects covered will be the main provocations of the loss, whether or not Mexico should re-
    claim its territory, what position Mexican citizens, Mexican immigrants, and Chicanos will take, and what
    important claims are possible today with the implementation of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in current
    situations like the onset of the SB1070 immigration bill in Arizona.
